About PURRfect Pet Companion

Laura & AlleyHi! I’m Laura, the owner of PURRfect Pet Companion. I have always had a love for animals and I recognize that our pets play a very important role in our lives and families. I would only let an experienced, trained professional care for my pets, so I understand that you would expect the same for yours. I started this Hatfield pet sitting business because of my love for pets and look forward to spending my day with yours.

I have a B.S. in Psychology from Lafayette College. I have taken several animal behavior courses and have volunteered with the SPCA for many years. I currently reside in Hatfield, PA with my husband, my two cats (Monty & Mimi) and my dog (Alley). My pets are my children. I have owned and loved cats, dogs, birds, fish, hermit crabs, and even a hedgehog.

Meet Our PURRfect Team Members!

Anna J. (Head Dog Walker / Pet Sitter)
Hi! I’m Anna! I live in Lansdale and graduated from North Penn High School. I received my Associates degree in Psychology, and am currently working toward becoming an RN. I have a Yorkipoo named Teddy, and a Maltipom named Bear! In the past I have owned dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, hamsters, turtles, birds, and fish. I have even done some basic grooming of horses!

In the past I worked at a pet supplies store and was the ‘Operation Ava’ representative. I assisted with pet adoptions and helped find them forever homes. Now I am lucky enough to work even more with animals. Getting to play and take care of pets is something I would do for fun. I cannot think of a better job!

Melina w Missy BaneMelina M.
Hi, I’m Melina! I grew up in Hatfield but lived in Philadelphia while attending Temple University. I moved back to Hatfield after graduating with my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have a Shiba Inu mix named Missy and a Rottweiler named Bane. Growing up, I also owned a variety of other animals such as guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats. My doggies are the babies of the family and I cannot imagine my life without them.

I have years of experience watching friend’s dogs, cats and other animals while they were on vacation or gone for the day. I have always had a passion for animals. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with animals everyday and I’m excited to meet your babies!

Nancy S.
Nancy with Jackson
Hi, I’m Nancy! I live in Hatfield with my husband, 4 kids, my dog Jackson, cats Zoey & Chloe, rabbit Louise, hermit crab, and fish! After graduating from Norristown High School I attended Kutztown University earning a Bachelors Degree in Geography and Sociology, and a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. I worked in community counseling for 7 years before becoming a stay at home Mom.

When I chose to go back to work I knew I would want to follow my passion of caring for animals. I have never gone for more than 6 months without having a dog in my life, and often there was an assortment of rabbits, fish and other animals around! I am excited for the opportunity to care for your furbabies while you are away. I am happy that this job gives me the opportunity to live by the motto “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”!!

Danielle C.

DanielleHey, my name is Danielle. I grew up in Hatfield and graduated from Christopher Dock High School. I grew up with dogs and cats, and can’t imagine a life without them in it. I attended Messiah College, earning my BA in English and a minor in Psychology. While I lived in the Harrisburg area, I worked at a no-kill animal shelter called Molly’s Place Rescue for over a year, which really reinforced my passion for animals. I even adopted my furbaby, Yukon, from there! (And plan on going back there to adopt many more animals in the future).

Now that I am living back in Hatfield, I wanted to find another way to help the lives of animals (and their people). I can’t think of a better “job” than to spend time with animals and show them love!

Indira M.

Hello, I’m Indira! I reside in the North Wales area, where I spent the majority of my childhood. After graduating from North Penn High school, I earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Now, I am working towards a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. While my educational background is human-focused, I have always had a passion for animals. I have many years of experience in helping to care for my neighbors’ pets as well as experience in caring for horses.

I have two West Highland Terriers, Atticus and Linus, who mean the world to me! Pets are a treasure and I feel very privileged to be able to provide your fur babies with lots of love and care!

Mary Ann S.

Hi, I’m Mary Ann! I have a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. in Theatre Design. Based in Hatfield, I am constantly on the go. When I am not dog-walking, I am designing or building costumes for area theatres, am working as an evening custodian or teaching classes; and, when I am not doing all of that, I am camping and LARPing with my husband, Rick. We are the humans to feline fur-babies (Margo and Reka) who we love and spoil as much as possible.

I grew up surrounded by pets and nature. There was always a dog and/or a cat in the house. Occasionally, there would also be a rabbit, a hamster, a guinea pig, a mouse, or a bird. Oh, and did I mention all the squirrels, chipmunks, geese, and ducks that I fed! (Much to the dismay of my father!) My parents tended to think of me as a regular Dr. Doolittle sometimes. Seeing and making new fur-friends always brings me joy.

Nancy S.

Hi I’m Nancy. I live in Lansdale with my husband, 3 step kids, and 2 cats, Grace and Haley. I grew up in NJ and moved to PA in 2004. While growing up, we always had at least one dog in our house at all times along with gerbils, hamsters, a guinea pig, rabbit and a ferret. I absolutely LOVE animals and wanted to be a Veterinarian when I was a kid.

I currently own a Virtual Assistant business and work from home. This gives me the luxury to be able to help people with their fur-babies during the day. And there’s nothing more that I like to do than spend time with animals. They’re good for the soul. I love the opportunity to do something that I thoroughly enjoy and what a great “job” it is to meet new animals and get to care and play with them.

Gwyn W.

Hi! My name is Gwyn! I currently live in Hatfield with my husband and our rescue buddy Stella, who is such a goofball!  I am from and lived in Schuylkill County PA until a few months ago when I moved to the area for my husband’s job.  I have always had pets in my life that ranged in size from a Yorkie to a Mastiff.  I feel our pets deserve the best care and I’m happy to help provide it!

I have my Associates in Business with an emphasis on Healthcare and have worked in the field for several years.  However, since moving I’ve decided to work with animals in any aspect possible and it has been such a joy to spend time and play with them.

Olivia J.

Hi, I’m Olivia! I live in Lansdale with my dog Lily and cat Carm. I grew up and went to school in the Hatfield area. I have a bachelors degree from West Chester University in Professional Studies. I have owned many kinds of animals and loved them my whole life! I’ve made pet-buddies with everything from ducks and turtles to cats and dogs!

While I have a full-time job in the Administration field, I love spending my evenings and weekends caring for pets! There’s nothing better than getting to cuddle and love cats and dogs!

Mary Ann W.
Hi, I’m Mary Ann! I grew up in Huntingdon County, PA but moved to Montgomery County to be close to family. I have been a pet parent all of my life and have always loved the company of dogs and cats. My cat Gizmo is a vital component of my family! He is a rescued kitty and I’m so fortunate to have found him! He brings so much joy to my life!
